Only the person concerned can obtain it, directly from Rio de Janeiro State Traffic Department (Departamento de Trânsito do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – Detran-RJ). Detran-RJ website → vehicle services → annual licensing / issue GRT → enter Renavam → issue the GRT → pay the GRT at Bradesco (app, internet banking or branch) with the barcode. IPVA is paid separately on a Sefaz-RJ DARJ.
