Legal limits

Criminal data: order only with the subject's written consent/mandate and a defined purpose (LGPD, Lei 13.709/2018); the TST (2017 repetitive-appeals ruling) holds that demanding criminal certificates from job applicants is unlawful discrimination unless required by law or justified by the nature of the job.
